Kimmer Economics

Open-pit economics for the block model you already have. Kimmer Economics turns a CSV block model into block values, cutoff grades, a discounted cash-flow with a Turkey-specific royalty model, and an optimized ultimate pit, all in a local desktop app. This is a pre-release alpha: the core economics engine is validated against published industry benchmarks, but the desktop app is still filling in reporting and export.

Capabilities

Block model in, pit economics out.

A tested economics engine handles the numbers, block values, cutoff grades, cash flow, and ultimate pit, so mine planners work with results, not spreadsheets full of band-aids.

calculate

Block economics engine

Computes per-block tonnage, revenue, and economic block value (EBV), then classifies ore vs. waste across the whole model, fast enough to sweep the entire block model at once.

content_cut

Cutoff grade, four ways

Break-even cutoff in four variants, basic, stripping-ratio-adjusted, AISC-based, and in-situ dilution/recovery-adjusted, plus grade-tonnage curves sweeping 50 cutoffs and overall/break-even stripping-ratio analysis.

payments

NPV/DCF with a Turkey royalty model

A discounted cash-flow engine with a fixed 25% corporate tax and a Turkish royalty table (Groups I–IV, ~8 named Group-IV metals, underground -50% and domestic-processing -75% discounts with an Au/Ag/Pt exclusion).

landscape

Ultimate pit & nested shells

Industry-standard ultimate-pit optimization finds the most valuable pit for your economic assumptions. A revenue-factor sweep generates nested pit shells with per-shell analysis for pushback planning.

schedule

Production scheduling

Two schedulers ship in the engine: a fast heuristic and an exact optimization for small models, so you can trade solve time against optimality.

insights

Sensitivity & Monte Carlo

Tornado and spider diagrams, Monte Carlo with P10/P50/P90 and probability-of-positive-NPV, and a break-even solver, visualized in-app alongside an interactive 3D block/pit viewer.

For mine planners

From block model to pit shell in one workflow

Import a CSV block model with flexible column mapping (density and rock type optional, grid dimensions inferred from unique coordinates), compute block economics and cutoff grades, run the ultimate pit, and inspect nested shells and cash flow, all locally, with an interactive 3D viewer for cross-sections and bench-by-bench review.

  • CSV block-model import with flexible column mapping
  • Economic block value, ore/waste classification, grade-tonnage curves
  • Ultimate pit + revenue-factor nested shells
  • NPV/DCF with the Turkey royalty and tax model
  • Interactive 3D block/pit viewer with cross-section and bench selector
